Technology is constantly improving, and at Eden Orthodontics, we always strive to stay on the cutting-edge. That’s why we are excited to provide our patients with LightForce™ braces - the first completely customised, 3D-printed bracket system.

How does LightForce treatment work?

When you come to the practice for your consultation to start your treatment, we use our state-of-the-art 3D scanner to create a digital model of your teeth, gums, and jaw. Our Specialist Orthodontist, Dr Rachel Smith, will use that model to design your customised treatment.

The LightForce™ brackets are 3D printed to fit your precise prescription. The brackets are tooth-coloured, so they can blend in nicely with your smile. We then glue them to your teeth at your braces on appointment, add metal arch wires and modules (coloured or not) to hold it all together.

Throughout your treatment, you will visit our practice every 6 – 8 weeks so Dr Smith can make small adjustments to your braces. These adjustments will place gentle but targeted pressure on your teeth to slowly move them into the desired alignment.
